Frequently asked questions
How do I apply to rent a property?

If you wish to rent a residential or commercial property, you must imperatively send us the documents mentioned in the sections below, by email or by post.

What documents do I need to provide for my file (Apartment)?

To build up your file, please provide the supporting documents listed below, for yourself and, if applicable, for your spouse, your roommate(s), your guarantor(s). These documents will not be returned. If your application is refused, they will be destroyed as soon as a lease contract is signed with an applicant. Only complete files will be processed.

In all cases:
* A copy of your identity card or residence permit
* A recent extract from the Prosecution Office (less than 3 months old; for each signatory of the lease)
* A copy of your liability insurance policy
* A certificate of residence

For employees:
* A copy of your last 3 pay slips or employment contract (for each signatory of the lease)

For single-parent or blended families :
* A copy of the divorce or alimony judgment

For freelancers:
* A recent extract from the Office of Public Prosecutions (less than 3 months old)
* A copy of the tax assessment or the company’s balance sheet
* A copy of the bank certificate

For annuitants:
* A copy of proof of your income

What documents do I need to provide for my file (Commercial)?

Documents to be provided (less than 3 months old)

As an existing company:
* An extract from the Office of Public Prosecutions recent (less than 3 months old)
* A recent extract from the Trade Register
* Company accounts (last 3 financial years)
* Copy of identity papers (persons authorized to represent the company)

As a private person / individual / self-employed :
* A recent extract from the Prosecution Office (less than 3 months old)
* A copy of a piece of identification (establishment permit if permit C)
* Salary slips for the last 6 months/annual income

If guarantor or co-tenant, documents to be provided in duplicate. These documents will not be returned. They will be destroyed, in case of refusal of your request, as soon as a lease contract is signed with an applicant.

How do I know if I need a guarantor for my application?

We will ask you to have a guarantor if you have insufficient income (unemployed, student, etc.), if you are being sued or if you are on probation.

Your guarantor must provide us with a complete file (same as yours) and be domiciled in Switzerland.
